Can I go to any Quest Diagnostics?
If your doctor provided you with an order for a test, you will need to visit one of our Patient Service Centers to have your specimen collected. We have more than 2,200 Patient Service Centers nationwide, with highly-trained professional staff who will collect your specimen.

What is standing order LabCorp?
Standing Orders: These tests are those that your health care provider wants you to complete on a regular basis, or as needed (also known as PRN). If you see the words “Interval” or “Remaining”, this means that it is a standing order.
Can I get blood work done on my own?
Direct access lab testing allows individuals to order their own blood work directly from the lab without the need for a doctor’s recommendation or referral. For most lab companies (e.g. Walk-In Lab) one simply needs to go to the company’s website and select the lab that they would like to order.
Is blood work preventive care?
Answer: The quarterly blood tests are considered non-preventive because they are treatment for an existing condition.

Blood work pricing at a lab can range anywhere from $100 for one simple test, to $3,000 for several complex tests. On average, to get blood work done at a lab when the patient is uninsured will cost around $1,500.

The test will tell you if you’re blood group A, B, AB, or O and if you’re Rh negative or positive. The lab test itself only costs you $11.11* because we’ve negotiated great prices to keep your costs low.
Can you just walk in to LabCorp?
Walk-ins are also welcome. Please note that not all lab locations offer all services. When visiting a lab, you should bring the LabCorp test request form from a health care professional requesting the laboratory testing.
Can I go to LabCorp without an appointment?
Are appointments required? Appointments are not required but may help reduce your patient’s wait time. Our locations are generally busiest from opening until 10:00 AM. If withholding food and/or beverages prior to the test is not required, you may wish to schedule an appointment during off-peak hours.

How long does it take quest to process blood work?
Next time your physician orders a lab test, ask your physician to indicate on the requisition that Quest Diagnostics should also send you a copy of the test results. Most tests take between 1 to 10 days to complete.
